Cross-linked Polyethylene material is formed by connecting polyethylene molecules with a chemical link during the manufacturing process making for a stronger tank. Cross linked Polyethylene tanks are known for being more corrosion and chemical resistant than its peers such as stainless steel, mild steel, high density polyethylene (HDPE) and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks. Cross linked tanks carry 5 times the impact strength of HDPE and are also considered the best option for sodium hypochlorite and other harsh chemicals that are known to be stress cracking agents.
